Computer engineering department focuses on design, implementation, analysis and application as component of systems .The department of Computer Engineering sustains and strengthens its teaching and research program to provide students with quality education in theory and practical. We offer students a solid background in the core areas of Computer Science and exposure to
cutting-edge computer technologies. Department of computer Engineering of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Institute of Technology is one of the vibrant departments, established in the year 2014. Over the years, the department is to empower to develop competent computer engineers with the spirit of professionalism and responsible citizen. Distinctly qualified devoted faculty and good infrastructure facilities make this vision achievable.
The courses in Computer Engineering specialize in computer algorithms and the design of complex software systems along with hardware subjects putting focus on computer systems design, digital signal processing, image processing and others. Amalgamation of Hardware and Software along with elective courses that allow students to tailor their studies to meet their individual’s needs and interests.
The BE Computer Engineering Program established in the year of 2014 with 60 intake.

empower to develop competent computer engineers with the spirit of professionalism and
responsible citizen. Distinctly qualified devoted faculty and good infrastructure facilities make
this vision achievable.
Students are given proper exposure to technical skills as well as soft skills to face the challenges
in the industry through technical workshop organized by professional bodies, guest lectures,
seminar by industry experts, departmental collaboration etc. Apart from this, department
encourages students to participate in different coding competition, spoken tutorials with faculty
members.
Ultimately department is focusing on “Focus on developing your practical computer science
skills”.
